Pam Halter

Pam Halter was a home-schooling mom for nine years and has been a children’s book author since 1995. She has published two picture books, Beatrice Loses Her Doll and Beatrice’s New Clothes (Concordia, 2001). Pam is on faculty for the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writer’s Conference, a member of ACFW, and is a freelance children’s book editor. She was selected to attend the Highlights Whole Novel Workshop for Fantasy (May 2010), received Writer of the Year in 2014 at the Greater Phila. Christian Writers Conference, and won the Reader’s Choice Award in the short story contest hosted by Realm Makers and Brimstone Fiction (2015).

In the ten years Pam has been editing picture books, several of the authors she’s worked with have won awards. Most recently, Nickerbacher the Funniest Dragon by Terry J. Barto won a Storymonsters Award and a Gold Mom’s Choice award.

Pam lives in New Jersey with her husband, special needs adult daughter, and mother-in-law. When she’s not writing or editing, Pam enjoys quilting, cooking, gardening, reading, theatre, music, and Bible study.
